pharmaceutical industry, food and beverages, cosmetics
MAIN FEATURES The DELLMECO “Hygienic Series” consists of air-driven diaphragm pumps specifically designed to meet the requirements of the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
The clamping system allows quick disassembly without the need for tools.
Smooth surface
The “sandwich” membranes have a completely smooth surface, which minimizes the risk of microbial growth. The membranes are available in food-safe materials - pure TFM (PTFE).
Superior finishing
Both the media side and the outer side are electropolished for a hygienic high-quality surface. Other special surface finishes are available upon request.
Eco air valve
The sealing system is completely lubrication-free, preventing contamination of both the pump and the environment.
Connectivity
As standard, the pump is supplied with connections according to DIN 11851. On request, the pump is also available with almost all common connection types within the hygienic sector, such as TriClamp, SMS, RJT, JIS or ANSI.
For CIP and SIP systems
Cleaning-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilization-In-Place (SIP) allow automatic cleaning and disinfection of the pump without extensive disassembly.
HOW TO INSTALL DELLMECO PUMPS?
Self-priming application
The suction height reaches up to 8 meters. This depends on the construction material used and the application conditions. All data are based on pumping water at 20 °C.
Underwater operation
Our pumps can operate fully submerged. However, the construction materials must be resistant to the ambient liquid, and the outlet must be above the liquid level.
Positive suction pressure
Suitable for complete emptying of storage tanks, settling tanks or similar reservoirs. The optimum inlet pressure is between 0.2 and 0.3 bar.
RECOMMENDED INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
To reduce stresses on piping and pump connections, we recommend using flexible couplings on both the suction and discharge lines and the air connection. For optimum performance, DELLMECO recommends installing a pulsation damper on the discharge side of the pump.
Without pulsation dampeners
With pulsation dampeners
Connect a flow-through valve and a drain valve to the fluid outlet of the pump.
Connect a maintenance valve to the fluid supply (suction side) of the pump.
Connect a hose to the valve on the suction side and the valve on the discharge side of the pump.
Connect a hose from the suction side and the discharge side of the pump to the respective tanks or reservoirs.

TECHNICALDATA
DIMENSIONS OFHYGIENIC PUMPS
CAPACITY OFHYGIENIC PUMPS
The viscosity of the medium affects the pumping capacity. The capacities listed in the pump characteristics are based on water (1 cPs). When pumping media with higher viscosity, the volume must be reduced accordingly.
HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT PUMP SIZE
1. Enter the desired flow rate and pressure required. (example: 50 l/min and 4 bar) 2. Read the estimated energy consumption in volume and pressure. (example: 0.40 Nm³/min at 6 bar)
